HCCC is involved in the Cape Community

In addition to our support for a Harvard student fellowship with a Cape non-profit (see Student Support | Summer Fellowship Program), club members are active and leaders in many non-profit organizations working to enrich the lives of Cape residents.   HCCC has periodically partnered with community organizations to offer programs for members and also support the organization's mission.  In times of special need, HCCC has made donations to select Cape non-profit efforts. A sample of these partnerships are below.  We welcome members to contact Peter Bono with ideas for joint programs that benefit HCCC and a non-profit organization.

2019 – Wreaths Across America at the Bourne National Cemetery with St. John Paul II High School  – Our members, who include many veterans, joined high school students in laying wreaths to honor the service of deceased Cape veterans.

2020 – Cape Cod Needy Fund and Food Pantry  – HCCC made a donation in the early stages of the pandemic to help those challenged by massive business shutdowns

2020 – Cape Cod Chamber Music Orchestra –The leader of the music orchestra was hired to play at the HCCC Annual Holiday Party.

2021 – Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit – the Society hosted a lecture and tour program for HCCC about the history of “Little Harvard,” in Cotuit.

2022 – We held small group, regional events at the Falmouth Public Library and the Centers for Culture and History, Orleans.

2023 – JFK Hyannis Museum – the Museum hosted a lecture and tour program for HCCC members, and the Club donated the ticket proceeds to the Museum.
