Annual Meeting 2026
June 11, 2026, at The DoubleTree by Hilton in Hyannis
The Harvard Club of Cape Cod held its annual meeting on June 11 at the Doubletree Hilton Inn in Hyannis. The event was highlighted by an enlightening presentation by Harvard Professor Timothy McCarthy, who spoke about The Politics of the Presidency in 21st Century America. He outlined the four cycles of the presidency leading up to and including the 21st century and their implications on our economy, environment, position in the world, and the survival of our democracy. He concluded by answering audience questions ranging from gerrymandering to potential future presidential candidates.
A brief annual meeting followed, chaired by Club President, Eldon Ziegler.
Iris Yob, VP Membership, reported that membership is steadily recovering from the drop during the pandemic years and acknowledged the following members who passed away this past year:

• Elizabeth G. Morton, d. October 13, 2025, RAD, AB ' 56
• John D. Sullivan, June 26, 1929 - December 26, 2025, EDD ' 60.
• Barbara Kanellopoulos, 2026, Ed M '63
Stephen Joyce, Treasurer, reported on our solid financial position and thanked membership for their increased contributions to the Summer Fellows program allowing us to fund two student interns this summer.
