State Senator Dylan Fernandes
March 3, 2026 at the JFK Museum
More than 30 HCCC members and guests gathered at the JFK Hyannis Museum to hear MA State Senator Dylan Fernandes (MPA'22) update the group on Massachusetts Legislative issues affecting Cape Cod and the Islands. He spoke of the Sagamore Bridge timeline and the challenges facing funding for the Bourne Bridge replacement; the need for affordable housing for our year-round and seasonal workforce; and the Seasonal Communities designation legislation that passed to help address this issue.
He also spoke to the fragility of our ecosystem and tax credit legislation to assist in funding septic system replacements with hookups to sewer systems. The audience was engaged with questions that the Senator answered clearly and concisely. Several attendees adjourned to lunch at Alberto’s.
The presentation was not streamed nor is it available as a recording.
