Jeffrey Tignor, AB ’96

Law, Communications Commissioner, Lecturer

jeffrey-tignorJeff graduated with an AB in government in 1996. He is still close with his freshman year roommates and neighbors. The group may have bonded so closely because, due to renovations, they had to move from Matthews to Weld in the middle of freshman year. Jeff’s experience at Harvard was also special because of the professors he got to know well, particularly government professor Martin Kilson, who frequently invited Jeff to dine at his home with him and his wife.

Jeff bought his house in Oak Bluffs twenty years ago. Jeff and his wife got married there, and their son was born in Oak Bluffs in 2012, making him a true Islander. Jeff lives primarily in Washington, DC, where he’s a lawyer and a past President of the Harvard Club of Washington, DC. Jeff is also a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke Law School, his law school alma mater.
