Marketing consultant, active community leader

Robert RogersRobert P. “Bob” Rogers, Jr. was an internet marketing consultant with Chesapeake Digital Solutions, LLC.  He helped small businesses generate leads, increase visibility and develop their brand in the government market space.  In addition, he taught the Boots to Business program through the Small Business Administration to military personnel transitioning from the service in the Washington D.C. area.

Previously, Bob was the President of Chesapeake Government Health Services, a healthcare staffing company headquartered in Vienna, VA.  His company employed 200 healthcare workers across domestic and foreign military hospitals and clinics.  During his 30-year tenure as President, INC Magazine recognized Chesapeake as one of its 500 fastest growing companies in America.

Bob was active in the Northern Virginia community for 40 years.  He served on the Board of the Northern Virginia Community College for 10 years, including two years as Chair.  He has also served as Chairman of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board; the Board of Directors of the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce; and two terms on the Board of Directors of Leadership Fairfax.  He is a founding member of the Community Business Partnership (CBP) which houses a Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Women’s Business Center (WBC) and the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC).

Bob is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business, Washington University, in St. Louis, MO.  He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management program.

Bob is married to Laurie Davis and has five children and six grandchildren. He lives in Brewster, MA.
