The Rise of Authoritarian Populism
Dr. Pippa Norris
A full room at the JFK Museum in Hyannis awaited the presentation by Dr. Pippa Norris, The Paul F. Mcguire Lecturer in Comparative Politics at the Kennedy School of Government who has written over 50 books. Her topic was timely and very important given the recent election in the US. Dr. Norris’ knowledge of the authoritarian trend throughout the world was particularly excellent and enlightening for those attending. Many were in full agreement that periodic updates from her on this topic would be welcome.
In addition to the many Club members, alumni and guests, members of the JFK Museum attended, and the several remote attendees were pleased with the technology. This hybrid model will be an option to include more potential attendees for future presentations.
