Hyannis Harbor Cruise
That Wasn't!
This event, in the words of Charles Dickens “… was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” Weather and poor communication from the host staff, caused us to be scattered and landlocked at the time of proposed sailing…the worst of times for an event planner. However, the understanding, flexibility, and overall spirit of social connection triumphed, making this the best of times.
When it was clear there would be no sailing that day, those on the empty dock rallied to celebrate what is, in the end, the primary reason for our events, and perhaps the Club in general…social connection. A group of ten resilient souls gathered at The Black Cat for lunch and a most enthusiastic sharing of life stories, humor, and the “lemonade from lemons” approach to life. The spirit of our Club shone brightly on this overcast and windy day.
