Museum Veritas: Edward Gorey House Tour
Preceded by Breakfast at Jack's Outback
Tuesday, September 17, 2024 Yarmouth Port
The Edward Gorey House, also known as the Elephant House, is the home in which Edward Gorey—author, illustrator, puppeteer, and playwright—lived and worked from 1986 until his death in 2000. The house currently serves as a museum celebrating Gorey's life and work. Gorey had a respect and passion for animals—cats in particular. The activities of the house, from art education to interactive exhibits, reflect Gorey's support of animal welfare.
We plan to meet at 8:30 AM at Jack's Outback, 161 Route 6A in Yarmouth Port, for breakfast. Jack's Outback happened to be Gorey's favorite breakfast place! Following breakfast, we will drive over to the Edward Gorey House which is a half mile from Jack's Outback.
At Jack's Outback you will order off the menu and pay for what you order directly to the restaurant. There is a $15 donation for the tour of the Edward Gorey House.
