Artist, museum worker, art teacher

Blue MagruderPatricia has recently moved back to Cambridge, Massachusetts and lives just a short walk to Harvard University. As she is back in Massachusetts now, she is interested in exploring Cape Cod and learning more about the Cape.

Patricia's time as a student at Harvard inspired her passion for art and her love of museums! She is now an Assistant Professor of Art and Art Education at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Patricia has taught at and continues to teach as needed at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Columbia University Teachers College, and Harvard University Extension School. She has a background of working in museums which include The Harvard Museum of Natural History, The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Morris Museum.

In addition, Patricia is a practicing and exhibiting artist. Her works as an artist focuses on organic abstract painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. She explores aesthetic beauty, nature, mindfulness, stress reduction, and the therapeutic healing properties of art in her work. Patricia's art studio is located at The Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, Massachusetts. She loves to spend time in nature and draws great inspiration from it as an artist.

Patricia is very much looking forward to spending time exploring the coastal communities and beaches on the Cape! She also loves to travel and enjoys horse riding and equestrian sports.
