Science teacher, science department chair, tennis player, chorister
Judy graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1961. She taught seventh and eighth grade science in Winchester for five years. At that point, she had two children so took two years off from teaching. She then became the entire science department at Rogers Hall, a girls’ boarding school in Lowell. In 1970 her family moved to New Jersey, she had her third child and took off another seven years from teaching. When she returned to teaching, she was chairperson of the science department and taught all of the biological sciences at a high school in New Jersey.
She and her husband retired to the Cape in 2004 and every day for thirteen years she substituted at Dennis-Yarmouth High School. She left teaching in 2017 to care for her husband who died in 2021. She now spends her time playing tennis, singing in the church choir, and doing other things at the Union Church in Dennis Village.
