Doug Adams, Photographer and Harvard Club Member

Chase awaydougadams-2022-05-12 the winter blues with photos from around the world at our January event. Photographer and Harvard Club member Doug Adams will take us on a world tour with his prize-winning images from the distant cultures of Africa, Europe and Asia as well as the more familiar venues of New England. Doug’s style is conversational and he loves to tell the stories behind the images and engage his viewers in the experience.  Doug’s passion for photography began in 1969 when he worked in the office of the mayor of New York City. Fascinated by the multicultural street life of the city neighborhoods, he was drawn to photography as a way to capture his interest and had his first formal introduction to photography at The New School in New York in 1971.

After completing his graduate work at Harvard in 1973 he worked at McKinsey & Co. for several years before starting his own consulting firm in 1986. He has worked with corporations in over 30 countries and traveled to many more. His work has taken him to virtually every country in Europe and Asia as well as others in Africa, South America and Australia. Doug was awarded Copley Artist Status at the Copley Society of Art in Boston in 2017. To see more of his photography, visit his web-site: www.dougadamsworldphotos.com
