Assistant Webmaster
We are looking for a technology-savvy member to assist the Webmaster in maintaining the website pages. Some familiarity with spreadsheets, document editing, and HTML is expected. You will work with the various officers of the club in making changes to pages under their purview; e.g., Membership, Events, Student Support, and Community. Event Planning and Coordination
We are looking for new members with creative ideas and organizing skills for the most important club task - developing and planning events. The work involves suggesting exciting educational topics and social activities for the club, soliciting potential speakers and working with them on content and logistics, and establishing relationships and arrangements with venues. We also want to connect with members who have ideas for smaller, special interest or local events. We plan a season kick off meeting in late August/early September. Communications Team
We are looking for a team to help with communications with club members, other alumni and the local community, via the Club website, email and postal mail. You would manage email notices about club events to assure timely preparation and delivery, and, from time to time, may contact local media on our behalf. This team is responsible for assuring that the content of the club website meets appropriate criteria and our social media policy. It would be helpful if some team members had basic knowledge of web formatting but this group is primarily responsible for the content of the website, not the technology.
