Homestead Afghanistan,
one Harvard Grad's Mission
JFK Museum and Zoom, Tuesday, April 8, 2025
Jill Kornetsky has been living and working in Afghanistan since 2015, and she has no plans to stop anytime soon. After working on USAID programming, and then anticorruption work, she founded a nonprofit organization to focus on Afghanistan’s most pressing issues: food security and self-reliance at the family and community level, in places 20 years of programming never managed to reach. She has a bold vision for how to reach 200,000 Afghan farming families with the last package of aid they will ever need, over the next 20 years. Jill will be sharing a bit about her life in Afghanistan, the motivations and logic behind her approach, and she will be answering your questions about Afghanistan’s past, and present, and her vision for the future.
